BYD has just introduced its line of electric commercial vehicles for the Hungarian market. These include the ETP3 van and ETM6 truck, which can be ordered there now with deliveries in 2022.
For sales in Hungary, BYD cooperates with Eurotrade. This cooperation includes customer service, after-sales and spare parts. All of these services will be handled by Eurotrade through its three main locations in Szombathely, Kisigmánd, Esztergom and Kistarcsa.

The ETP3 is a van with electric power coming from a passenger car van. BYD ETP3 has an unladen weight of 1.7 tonnes and a payload of 720 kilograms. The ETP3 uses a 50.3 kWh NMC battery which has a range of 269 kilometers in a combined WLTP cycle, in cities up to 310 kilometers is possible. The range of the ETP3 will drop significantly when the Van is at full load.
Battery charged up to 40 kW via CCS connection; charging to 100 percent takes 1.5 hours. With a 6.6 kW AC charger, the charging time is 7.5 hours. The electric motor has a maximum output of 100 kW, its rated power is 35 kW.

Meanwhile, for heavier loads, BYD introduced ETM6 as a solution. The ETM6 is an electric truck weighing 7.5 tons offering a payload of 3,990 kilograms. The ETM6 is 5.95 meters long, 2.10 meters wide and 2.94 meters high. BYD doesn’t specify WLTP range here, but 200 kilometers on a full charge. Unlike the ETP3 with its NMC battery, the ETM6 uses an LFPÜ battery with a capacity of 126 kWh. The battery is expected to be charged up to 120 kW DC, and with a charging time of 1.2 hours, the battery will be full even faster than the battery from the ETP3.
