Hubject, a eRoaming provider, has announced a strategic collaboration with Driveco, a prominent French charging infrastructure provider. The partnership aims to bolster the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle (EV) charging across Europe by integrating Driveco’s charging points into Hubject’s Intercharge network. Additionally, this cooperation empowers Driveco to offer the highly sought-after Plug&Charge functionality at its charging stations.
Driveco’s ambitious goal of operating more than 60,000 charging points throughout Europe by 2030 hinges on the successful integration of Hubject’s comprehensive offering. By aligning their efforts, the two companies seek to address the key challenge of providing a sufficient number of easily accessible charging stations, facilitating seamless cross-border travel for EV drivers.

According to Sofiane Belkhodja, CTO of Driveco, “Our development has accelerated significantly in recent years, and as part of our rapid roll-out, we have identified the key players that make our network more accessible to all. Our partnership with Hubject is a major step in this quest, allowing us to give international visibility to the Driveco fleet of charging stations, so that all EV drivers in Europe can charge their electric vehicles.”
Christian Hahn, Managing Director of Hubject, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership enables all EV drivers to seamlessly access charging where they need it, no matter which eMobility service provider they hold a contract with. Driveco’s efforts to design a simple, accessible, and reliable charging experience aligns with our goals for a global, interconnected charging network based on eRoaming, and we are glad to have found such an engaged partner in France, one of our core markets.”
The integration of Driveco’s charging points into the Intercharge network by Hubject not only makes Driveco stations compatible with hundreds of mobility providers but also unlocks the convenience of Plug&Charge for EV users. With this feature, drivers can initiate charging sessions without the need for any additional authentication, streamlining the charging experience for customers.
