Tesla has recently introduced an enticing offer for customers looking to purchase new inventory Model 3 vehicles in the United States and Canada. Buyers who take delivery of these vehicles by June 30th will receive a complimentary three-month period of free Supercharging, a network of high-speed charging stations provided by Tesla.
This move by Tesla is believed to be an additional incentive aimed at accelerating the sale of existing Model 3 inventory before an anticipated refresh. Speculation about a Model 3 update has been circulating since late last year, with reports suggesting a potential release during the second half of 2023, codenamed “Highland.”
Late last year, camouflaged Model 3 prototypes were spotted undergoing testing in California, indicating that Tesla was making progress towards the vehicle’s release. Although the specific design changes were difficult to discern due to the heavy camouflage, an image of the new Model 3 without camouflage surfaced in April, offering a clearer glimpse of the upcoming refresh.
With the recent discounts on new inventory Model 3 vehicles, Tesla has already started reducing the prices, creating a distinction between the cost of custom orders and new inventory models, which was not previously the case. Now, in addition to these discounts, Tesla is sweetening the deal by offering three months of free Supercharging on new inventory Model 3 vehicles.
The three-month period of free unlimited Supercharging applies to orders placed and delivered between June 14th and June 30th, 2023. This incentive is prominently featured on Tesla’s websites in both the United States and Canada, but it is specifically applicable only to new inventory Model 3 vehicles.
As Tesla appears to be liquidating its existing new inventory of Model 3 vehicles, it is highly anticipated that the Model 3 refresh will be launched in the near future.
