Electric vehicles are rapidly taking over the automobile industry, and Fisker is gearing up to join the fray with its upcoming electric pickup truck, Alaska. During an earnings presentation, Henrik Fisker, the company’s founder, provided new details about the upcoming vehicle, stating that the company eventually aims to sell one million vehicles per year, including models in new segments with at least four unique features in each vehicle.
Fisker also teased some of the features of the upcoming Alaska electric pickup truck, calling it a lifestyle truck that could be the “lightest, most efficient EV pickup in the world.” He also noted that the vehicle has “some amazing features” that have “never been done on a pickup truck before.”

Although Fisker did not go into specific details, he mentioned that Alaska would be “very broadly based on the Ocean,” the company’s electric crossover SUV, which suggests that the truck may not be as rugged as some traditional pickups. However, basing the model on the Ocean enables the company to bring it to market relatively quickly and at a much lower cost, thanks to the significant employee base in India.
Fisker also mentioned that the company would provide more details about Alaska at its Investor Day event, where he is expected to unveil the lifestyle truck’s unique features. With the rapid growth of the electric vehicle market, it will be interesting to see how Alaska stacks up against other upcoming electric pickup trucks.
