The automotive world continues to experience rapid progress. This is marked by the emergence of vehicles with various advanced features and the transition of cars with internal combustion engines into electric power.
This condition has also received special attention from the American car manufacturer, Jeep, which is starting to get serious about presenting its electric vehicles. This is marked by the debut of the Jeep Avenger electric car at the 2022 Paris Motor Show.
This compact SUV designed for the European market is based on Stellantis, which is capable of a range of up to 400 km (249 miles) based on WLTP. When viewed from the outside, the design of this electric car still has the feel of a classic Jeep, which features a seven-slot grille, complete with LED lights. In addition, alloy wheels with a diameter of 18 inches increase the proportions, coupled with fenders that make it look fuller.
While in the interior, the Jeep Avenger is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, combining the latest Uconnect infotainment compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The Jeep Avenger is based on the eCMP architecture, as is the Peugeot e-2008, Opel Moka-e, and Citroen DS3 E-Tense. The car is equipped with a front-mounted 400-volt electric motor that produces 154 hp (115 kW/156 PS) and 260 Nm (191.8 lb-ft) of torque.
Jeep claims that the WLTP range is 400 km (249 miles) to 550 km (342 miles), making it quite efficient for both urban and out-of-town use.
As for charging, using a 100 kW Mode 4 cable and fast charger, the battery can charge from 20-80 percent in 24 minutes, or increase its range of 30 km (19 miles) in three minutes. Meanwhile, when plugged in using an 11 kW Mode 3 cable, a full charge takes 5.5 hours.
Regarding safety features, the Jeep Avenger is equipped with several advanced features such as Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, and Active Park Assist. The Jeep Avenger will be produced at the Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, following its latest investment.
