Polestar 3 configurator is now live, Performance pack option up SUV output to 510 hp

The Polestar 3 electric SUV just made its debut on October 12, 2022 and now the Swedish manufacturer has posted a configurator on their website that allows potential buyers to set it up however they like.

The Polestar 3 is the largest vehicle so far produced by the Swedish manufacturer. The Polestar 3 uses the EV90 platform which is also used by the Volvo XC90. Dimensionally this electric SUV has a wheelbase of 117.5-in (2,985 mm) or one inch above the Tesla Model X, but a few inches shorter than the electric SUV Rivian R1S.

In the configurator on their website, the electric SUV offers a wide range of exterior colors including various shades of white, black and silver (plus one blue), but for those looking for something that stands out yet remains subtle, there is another color called Jupiter. The hue is a champagne shade with a hint of pink, and it’s reminiscent of a more conservative version of Porsche’s Frozen Berry Metallic.

In the configurator, interior options consist of Bio-Attributed MicroTech in Charcoal and Animal Welfare Wool in Charcoal for the seats, and both are paired exclusively with aluminum trim. Upgrade to Nappa Animal Welfare leather, and you get a color choice between Zinc (white) and Jupiter, but this time your only trim option is Black Ash Deco.

Every Polestar 3 gets a Pilot and Plus package, which brings a driver assistance system to the SUV, as well as a number of perks and visual touches throughout the vehicle. Performance pack and Pilot pack with Lidar

The Performance pack option will increase the SUV’s output from 483 hp (489 PS / 360 kW) and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) to 510 hp (517 PS / 380 kW) and 671 lb-ft. ft (910 Nm), and cut the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time from 4.9 seconds to 4.7 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Pilot pack with Lidar will add advanced LiDAR scanning to assist the driver assistance system, but will not be available to order until mid-2023.

For wheel options, Polestar offers two wheel options: a 21-inch 5-V Spoke black diamond cut wheel and a 22-inch Spoke black polished forged wheel. Upgrade to the Performance package and you get a third wheel option: 22-inch 4-Multi spoke polished black forged wheels.

The final section of the configurator gives potential buyers the option of adding various accessories such as roof racks, blinds for panoramic roofs, mud covers, all-weather floor mats, and retractable towbar barriers.
