The innovation of electric motorcycles is not only for everyday use, but also the fastest electric motorcycle race in the world.

Citing Visordown, the manufacturer Lightning Motorcycles recently introduced the Lightning Tachyon Nb.

The Lightning Tachyon Nb electric motorcycle is built to hit the top speeds that an electric motorcycle is capable of.

That’s why the design of this electric motorcycle is not for use on the road or everyday riding.

Just look at the body shape that looks made aerodynamically like a bullet.

Lightning Motorcycles claims this electric motorcycle has a maximum speed of 250 miles per hour or about 402.3 km / hour.

This figure is actually still below the record set by Voxan Motors in 2021, with a top speed of 283 mph or about 455.4 km / h.

But unfortunately the record made by Voxan Motors was not recorded by the FIM.

But Lightning Motorcycles continues to develop this electric motorcycle until the time of testing in November 2022 later.

The plan, they will test this super fast electric motorcycle at the Bonneville Salt Flats location.

Previously, at this location the FIM-certified record for the top speed of an electric motor was still held by the Mobitec EV-02A.

The electric motorcycle was recorded with a top speed of 204.4 mph or about 328.9 km/hour.

The heart of the Lightning Tachyon Nb is its body made of Niobium, a more wear-resistant metal for better performance.

This material is also a key ingredient in battery production which gives the battery a higher energy density compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries.

For this battery project, Lightning teamed up with Brazilian company CBMM, one of the world’s number one developer of the metal Niobium.
