Olymp Cars plans to produce series of EV using its own platform called Hephaistos

Olymp Cars is a new electric vehicle manufacturer based in Vienna. The company is said to be launching several models of electric vehicles using names from Greek mythology.

Olymp Cars says it will launch its first electric vehicle in the spring of 2023 using the company’s self-made platform called Hephaistos.

Based on information from the company’s website, the first electric vehicle to be produced is an e-transporter with a range of 700 km, named Hermes. Production of this model is scheduled to begin in mid-2023.

In addition, the company will also launch an SUV type vehicle that has a length of 4.8 m with a range of 600 km, which is named Ares.

There are also Apollon and Athena sedans including a fire brake branch, an Artemis electric pickup, a Hera electric family van and an electric city car called the Selene. Later, the model will also come powered by hydrogen.

One of the advantages of the Hephaistos platform that Olymp Cars uses is that it is scalable and accommodates various battery sizes.

The company already has partners in Germany for van production, one in Italy for the small car and the Ares will be built in Austria if possible.

For distribution, the company is considering a subscription model, direct selling as well as a leasing model.
