Honda Prologue : What we know so far

Japanese automaker Honda is expected to introduce its Prologue SUV in North America sometime in 2024.

In a recent development, the brand has released teaser images of this upcoming vehicle, highlighting important design details.

The image shows that the car will have sleek LED headlights, roof rails, and door-mounted ORVM, among other highlights. This car will be powered by an electric powertrain.

The Prologue will be the product of a joint effort between Honda and General Motors and will be based on General Motors’ Ultium modular electric car architecture.

This car is expected to offer a good look, many features, and high performance. After North America, this car should arrive in Europe as well as certain Asian markets. However, his debut in India seems unclear.

The Honda Prologue will have a “neo-rugged” look, a long bonnet, a sleek grille, sleek LED headlamps, vertically oriented fog lampshades, and trapezoidal air dams.

This car will be flanked by roof rails, contrast colored ORVM and door handles, widened wheel arches, and sporty-looking wheels.
A window wiper and long taillights may be available at the rear of this car.

The Honda Prologue will run on an electric powertrain, using batteries with capacities between 50-200 kWh.

It will be linked to an all-wheel-drive system and will allow the vehicle to cover a distance of at least 480 km on a single charge.

Honda Prologue is expected to have a spacious cabin, with an information screen, auto climate control, parking sensors, and a multifunction steering wheel.

The cabin is supposed to house a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system with support for the latest connectivity options.

Passenger safety is likely ensured by multiple airbags, ADAS, rear view camera and collision sensors.

The Honda Prologue is expected to be produced at General Motors’ plant in Mexico and will be available in North America sometime in 2024. Pricing details will be revealed around that time.
