WeRide said its WRD 3.0 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) won the Hefei round of the Second China Urban Intelligent Driving Competition, extending the platform’s winning streak to five consecutive victories.
The company said the WRD 3.0-equipped Chery Exeed Sterra ES achieved a score of 102.81 points at the event, which was hosted by D1EV.
According to WeRide, the result makes WRD 3.0 the first solution in the competition’s history to secure five straight wins.
The company’s WRD 3.0 system is a one-stage end-to-end L2++ ADAS platform co-developed with Bosch. The technology integrates perception and decision-making functions into a single model to improve driving performance in complex urban environments.
WeRide also entered a second WRD 3.0-powered vehicle in the competition for the first time. The GAC Aion N60 placed second during the preliminary round.
The Aion N60 additionally marked the competition debut of the Qualcomm SA8650 computing platform. WeRide said the vehicle outperformed entries powered by systems from Momenta and Huawei by as much as 24.95 points.
WeRide said WRD 3.0 is supported by its GENESIS simulation platform, which is used for closed-loop training and data iteration aimed at improving system stability across different vehicle models and operating scenarios.
The company added that the platform has been adapted to multiple computing systems, including Nvidia DRIVE Orin-X, Orin-Y and Qualcomm SA8650 chips, allowing deployment across various vehicle segments and pricing categories.
At the 2026 Auto China exhibition, WeRide also announced a strategic partnership with SiEngine to improve supply chain resilience and reduce costs.
Since early 2026, WeRide said it has secured nearly 30 design wins across brands under GAC Group, including GAC Aion, GAC Trumpchi and Hyptec, as well as brands under Chery such as Exeed, Tiggo, Lepas, Omoda and JAECOO.
According to the company, WRD 3.0-equipped vehicles now cover price segments ranging from about $14,000 to $44,000.
WeRide said it plans to expand its L2++ ADAS business internationally, targeting markets in Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
