Lotus Technology, majority-owned by Geely Holding, has launched its first plug-in hybrid SUV in China, marketed locally as the Lotus For Me and globally as the Lotus Eletre X.
The model entered the Chinese market with two variants, priced at 508,000 yuan ($73,500) for the Standard trim and 558,000 yuan ($80,730) for the SE version. Deliveries are set to begin on March 30, while a global launch is scheduled for June 2026.

Built on Lotus’s X-Hybrid platform with a 900-volt architecture, the Eletre X combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, delivering a peak output of 700 kW (939 hp). The setup enables acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, or 3.5 seconds even with the battery at 10% charge.
The SUV is equipped with a 70 kWh battery supplied by CATL, providing up to 420 kilometres of electric range under CLTC conditions. With a full battery and fuel tank, total driving range exceeds 1,400 kilometres.

The model supports 6C ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in around eight minutes. In hybrid operation, fuel consumption is rated between 0.06 and 0.07 litres per 100 km, rising to around 6 litres per 100 km when the battery is depleted.
Advanced driver assistance features include a 128-line LiDAR system and Nvidia’s Drive Thor-U chip, delivering up to 700 TOPS of computing power. The SE variant adds Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) functionality and additional chassis and comfort upgrades.

The Eletre X shares its design with the all-electric Lotus Eletre launched in 2022, featuring a large SUV footprint measuring over five metres in length and a wheelbase of just over three metres. Interior features include a panoramic roof, multi-screen layout, KEF-branded audio system, and advanced seating configurations, including an optional four-seat layout with rear captain chairs.
