Porsche’s electric vehicle sales declined in both the United States and Canada in 2025, even as the automaker reported strong overall performance in North America, underlining continued consumer preference for gasoline and hybrid models as the brand prepares its next phase of electrification.
In Canada, Porsche Cars Canada delivered 10,010 vehicles in 2025, down 3.5% from a year earlier. The Macan remained the brand’s best-selling model, with 3,877 units delivered, followed by the Cayenne at 2,551 vehicles. Deliveries of the 911 sports car totaled 2,037 units, reflecting slightly softer demand in a higher interest rate environment.
Sales of fully electric models were weaker. Taycan deliveries in Canada fell to 250 vehicles in 2025, compared with 360 units the previous year. Porsche did not separately disclose sales of gasoline and electric versions of the Macan, which now includes a battery-electric variant.
Despite the decline in EV volumes, Porsche continued investing in infrastructure and customer engagement. The automaker opened the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto in 2025, its first such facility in Canada, offering customers hands-on access to both electric and combustion models. The company has also expanded Plug & Charge functionality for the Macan Electric and future Taycan variants across a broad network of public chargers, including access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.

In the United States, Porsche delivered 76,219 vehicles in 2025, narrowly exceeding its previous record and marking the strongest annual sales performance in the brand’s U.S. history. The Macan led the lineup with 27,139 deliveries, supported by demand for both internal combustion and electric versions. The Cayenne followed with 20,314 units, reinforcing the central role of SUVs in Porsche’s North American sales mix.
U.S. electric sales were again led by the Taycan, which recorded 4,142 deliveries in 2025, a decline of nearly 13% year over year. Porsche has said it plans to expand its electric lineup in the region, confirming that an all-electric Cayenne will debut in 2026, joining the Taycan and Macan Electric.

The upcoming model launches are expected to play a key role in shaping Porsche’s electric sales trajectory in North America, where overall demand remains strong but the transition to battery-electric vehicles continues to progress unevenly.
