Octillion Power Systems said it produced a record 3,653 electric vehicle battery systems in a single day on Dec. 3, 2025, representing around 114 megawatt-hours of energy capacity across its global manufacturing network.
The output was achieved across nine production facilities located in the United States, India and China, underscoring the company’s strategy of localized manufacturing aligned with original equipment manufacturer demand. The battery systems support a range of vehicle applications, including passenger cars, trucks, buses and commercial vehicles.
“For Octillion to surpass 3,650 battery systems produced in a single day is a momentous achievement,” said Paul Beach, global president of Octillion. “This milestone reflects the dedication and expertise of our teams, the maturity of our manufacturing processes, and the high level of trust global OEMs place in Octillion.”
Octillion said its distributed production model enables it to supply battery systems close to customer assembly sites, reducing logistics complexity and supporting regional compliance requirements. The company has built its manufacturing footprint over more than 15 years, combining engineering development with vertically integrated system design and mass production.
In China, Octillion has captured more than 5% of the passenger electric vehicle battery systems market as of 2023, according to company data. In India, it said it is currently the leading producer of EV battery systems for passenger vehicles, trucks and buses by both unit volume and market share, supported by long-established local supply chains.
The company delivered about 20 gigawatt-hours of battery capacity in 2025, up from more than 17 GWh in 2024, and said it expects output to increase further in 2026 as demand for electric mobility continues to expand across multiple vehicle segments. “While each region we operate in presents unique realities, our mission remains consistent,” Beach said. “We are committed to advancing electric mobility by delivering high-performance, safe, and cost-effective battery systems that reduce environmental impact without compromising quality or scalability.”
Headquartered in Richmond, Octillion is a Tier 1 supplier of high-density energy storage systems and has delivered more than two million EV battery systems globally. The company said vehicles using its technology have accumulated more than 33 billion kilometres of road use worldwide, supported by integrated battery management systems, advanced thermal modelling and standardized manufacturing processes.
