AEye said it has entered a strategic partnership with South Korea-based Vueron to integrate Vueron’s real-time 3D perception software into AEye’s OPTIS ecosystem, expanding the platform’s capabilities across automotive and infrastructure markets.
Under the agreement, Vueron’s perception software will be combined with AEye’s Apollo lidar hardware, enabling real-time detection, classification and analysis of objects in complex environments. AEye said the integration strengthens its full-stack 3D visual awareness offering for applications including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, intelligent transportation systems, mining, rail safety and perimeter security.

“The partnership brings together long-range sensing and dynamic perception to deliver a scalable, intelligent solution across multiple markets,” said Matt Fisch, adding that the collaboration extends the reach of the OPTIS platform beyond automotive uses.
AEye’s Apollo lidar is designed to detect objects at distances of up to one kilometre, while its Stratos product extends range to as far as 1.5 kilometres. These sensors are software-defined and designed to support multiple use cases through configuration rather than hardware changes. OPTIS serves as the company’s integrated platform, combining high-resolution 3D data capture with real-time interpretation and system response.

Vueron’s software specialises in dynamic 3D perception for moving platforms. Joseph Kim said the integration with Apollo lidar enables intelligent, long-range sensing suitable for vehicles operating in complex and fast-changing environments.
The companies said the combined system is intended to support both near-term ADAS deployments and longer-term autonomous driving, while also addressing non-automotive sectors where long-range, real-time situational awareness is required.

AEye said the OPTIS ecosystem is designed as an end-to-end solution, capturing three-dimensional environmental data, interpreting it through software and enabling timely actions based on that information.
