Aito, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres Group, has expanded its M7 sport utility vehicle lineup with longer-range variants of its extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), as Chinese automakers increasingly equip hybrid models with larger battery packs.
The new additions include five-seat and six-seat versions priced from 299,800 yuan ($42,970) and 319,800 yuan, respectively. Both variants deliver a China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) battery-only range of up to 327 kilometres and a combined range of up to 1,690 kilometres when fully charged and fuelled, the company said.

The two models are equipped with a 53.4-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery and a rear-mounted electric motor producing a maximum output of 227 kilowatts. Power battery supply is provided by CATL, Aito said.
The Aito M7 was first launched in July 2022, with the latest 2026 model-year update introduced in September 2025 at a starting price of 279,800 yuan. The SUV measures 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.

In addition to the EREV versions, the M7 is also offered in battery-electric form, featuring a 100-kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 710 kilometres under CLTC testing standards.
The launch of the longer-range EREV options comes amid a broader trend among domestic manufacturers to increase battery capacity in hybrid vehicles. Xpeng last week updated four models, introducing EREV variants with battery-only ranges of up to 430 kilometres, while Leapmotor launched its D19 large SUV in October with an EREV battery pack of up to 80 kWh.
