Iveco Bus said it has signed three major framework agreements with Île-de-France Mobilités to deliver as many as 4,000 low- and zero-emission buses and coaches between 2026 and 2032, in one of the world’s most extensive public transport renewal programmes.
The contracts cover three vehicle types: the 12-metre GX 337 ELEC electric bus, as well as the 12- and 18-metre Urbanway Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and 12-metre Crossway CNG models.

Iveco has not disclosed the number of units to be delivered for each category or the specific technical details of the vehicles. The agreements are being managed by the Public Transport Procurement Organisation (CATP – Centrale d’Achat du Transport Public).
“Iveco Group is honoured to collaborate with Île-de-France Mobilités, an operator who is at the forefront of the energy transition, and work together to decarbonise people transport,” said Claudio Passerini, President of the Bus Business Unit at Iveco Group. “Our electric and biomethane solutions will deliver a clean energy mix, while contributing to our priority of reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2040,” he added.
The vehicles will feature the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to improve safety and comfort for both drivers and passengers.

Valérie Pécresse, President of Île-de-France Mobilités, said the new framework agreements represent a significant milestone in the region’s environmental strategy. “With this new order of 4,000 vehicles, we are continuing the transport revolution that I initiated in 2016,” she said. “We are on the verge of achieving this tremendous project of making Île-de-France the first French region to convert all its buses and coaches to clean energy.”
