GAC Group has introduced its all-electric Aion V SUV in Finland, marking its third market entry in Europe and a key milestone in the company’s European Market Plan.
The move strengthens the Chinese automaker’s presence in the region and highlights the growing influence of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers in the Nordic market.
The launch follows GAC’s strategic partnership with Inchcape, first announced at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The collaboration leverages Inchcape’s established retail and service infrastructure alongside GAC’s EV technology, with Finland serving as the first market under this alliance. GAC plans to expand to additional European countries by 2028 as part of its regional growth strategy.
The Aion V features a 510-kilometer WLTP range and supports ultra-fast charging, achieving 10% to 80% capacity in just 24 minutes. It recently received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating for 2025, reflecting its strong performance in occupant protection and driver assistance categories.

GAC offers comprehensive warranty coverage for the Aion V, including eight years or 160,000 kilometers for the vehicle and eight years or 200,000 kilometers for the battery. The company continues to develop its European sales and service network, aiming to enhance local support and ensure a consistent customer experience across markets.
With operations now established in Poland, Portugal, and Finland, GAC’s steady expansion underscores its ambition to become a competitive player in the European EV segment by the end of the decade, offering a combination of advanced technology, robust safety standards, and value-oriented design.
