Polestar has unveiled a new walkaround film for the Polestar 5, a four-door performance Grand Tourer derived from the brand’s 2020 Precept concept. The feature, starring actor Alexander Skarsgård, highlights the vehicle’s blend of advanced engineering, sustainable design, and high-performance electric powertrain.
Produced entirely by Polestar’s in-house creative team, the cinematic presentation offers an in-depth look at the flagship model that embodies the company’s future vision of electric performance.

Built on Polestar’s bespoke bonded aluminum platform, the Polestar 5 delivers supercar-level torsional rigidity while reducing overall weight. Its dual-motor powertrain produces 650 kW and 1,015 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds.
The Grand Tourer also features an 800-volt electrical architecture and advanced chassis engineering, including a compact double wishbone front suspension and MagneRide adaptive dampers that adjust to road conditions up to 1,000 times per second.

Sustainability remains a defining aspect of the Polestar 5’s design. The vehicle uses 83% aluminum sourced from smelters powered by renewable energy and incorporates 13% recycled aluminum. Inside, the cabin features Bcomp’s natural fiber composites with Polestar’s signature weave — a lightweight material that reduces fossil-fuel-based content by half compared to traditional plastics.
In the film, Skarsgård’s character encapsulates the spirit of innovation behind the car, remarking, “Fantastic. Tomorrow’s not dead yet,” as Polestar reinforces its commitment to redefining the future of electric mobility.
