Zero Motorcycles has announced it will relocate its global administrative headquarters from the United States to the Netherlands, underscoring Europe’s role as the company’s fastest-growing market. The move will see the Netherlands become the new global hub for the electric motorcycle manufacturer, while its California base will continue to lead research and development.
In a statement, Zero said the relocation reflects a “European boost” that has made the continent its “primary driver of growth.” The new headquarters in Noord-Scharwoude, North Holland, will serve as a central hub for administrative and sales operations, bringing together global teams to enhance coordination and responsiveness to market trends.

The company’s main shareholder has also pledged $50 million in new funding to support the transition and reinforce confidence in Zero’s long-term strategy and leadership.
Zero confirmed that its Scott’s Valley, California, site will remain a key innovation hub for R&D and engineering, focusing on the design and development of its electric motorcycles and powertrains.
“With Europe setting the pace for EV adoption, moving key headquarters functions into the Netherlands allows us to respond faster to customer needs and strengthen our global operations,” said Sam Paschel, CEO of Zero Motorcycles. He added that the move represents “focus, discipline, and ensuring we lead the transformation of the powersports industry.”
Despite the shift in focus, Zero emphasized its commitment to the U.S. market, noting that it will continue to invest in its dealer network and support the rollout of its new off-road-focused XB and XE models.
