Blink Charging said on Monday that its UK subsidiary, Blink Charging UK Ltd., will collaborate with Flowbird Smart City UK to provide exclusive electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions across National Health Service (NHS) properties in the United Kingdom.
The partnership covers NHS Property Services (NHSPS), which manages around 3,000 buildings supporting Integrated Care Boards, Trusts, and General Practitioner practices. Under the agreement, the rollout of EV chargers at NHSPS locations will begin immediately, offering both fast-charging options and smart, data-driven management through Blink’s platform integrated with NHSPS’s Smarter Building portal.
Alex Calnan, Managing Director of Europe at Blink Charging, said: “It’s an honour to be working with NHSPS and Flowbird Smart City UK on this significant and impactful project. This agreement kick-starts what we hope will be a long and mutually beneficial arrangement for all of us and will bring much-needed EV charging options to properties where NHS services are delivered around the UK.”
Chris Head, Regional Director for Flowbird Smart City UK and Ireland, added: “We are delighted to team up with Blink to support NHSPS with their charging needs across the UK.” NHSPS Senior Net Zero Carbon Manager Elaine Hall said the collaboration will help develop a scalable EV charging network across its estate, providing a full-service delivery model tailored to NHS requirements.
Blink Charging has continued to expand its network across the UK, partnering with local authorities, businesses, and property developers to advance sustainable transport and energy management solutions.
