Ford of Europe through its Ford Pro commercial car division has just introduced the Ford E-Transit Custom electric car technology (9/5).
The Ford E-Transit Custom was introduced as a commercial electric car, the successor of the Ford Transit Custom which was selling well in Europe.
“The launch of the E-Transit Custom is a great moment for commercial car operators in Europe, and also a significant step in realizing Ford Pro’s ambitions,” said Hans Schep, General Manager of Ford Pro Europe.
“Europe’s best-selling van has become an electric car and is supported by Ford Pro services that help with productivity,” added Schep.
The first interesting thing that immediately looks at the Ford E-Transit Custom is its cool appearance.
Different from the Ford Transit Custom, the E-Transit Custom has brought the latest face designs such as the Ford Evos and Ford Mondeo in China.
This design combines the latest Ford-style oval grille with LED light bars and more aggressive LED headlights. At its launch, Ford still did not provide information on the full specifications and features of the E-Transit Custom.
However, it is certain that the Ford E-Transit Custom will get the ProPower Onboard Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature like the F-150 Lightning. Thanks to this cool feature, owners can use the electrical energy stored in the battery to power electronic appliances.
Using this feature is also easy, simply connect electronic devices to the charging port or wall outlet in the car’s interior. In addition, Ford also mentions that the E-Transit Custom has a battery that is targeted to have a mileage of up to 236 miles (380 kilometers).
The E-Transit Custom battery is also claimed to be compatible with DC fast charging. Ford plans to manufacture the E-Transit Custom in Kocaeli, Turkey in the second half of 2023.
