Fisker, the American electric vehicle manufacturer, has divulged further details about its upcoming Ocean Force E Off-Road package, designed to augment the capabilities of its electric SUV for off-road excursions.

Enthusiasts looking to venture beyond traditional roads can now place pre-orders for the Ocean Force E Off-Road package at a cost of $250. This package, expected to be priced at $14,000, offers a comprehensive set of enhancements to Fisker's electric SUV, aimed at elevating its performance and adaptability.

The Ocean SUV itself, known for its 360-mile range in the Ocean Extreme variant, starts at $68,999 before accounting for destination and freight charges. With the inclusion of the Ocean Force E Off-Road package, the total investment climbs to approximately $83,000, positioning the Fisker SUV as a premium option for off-road enthusiasts.

The focal point of the Ocean Force E Off-Road package lies in its notable upgrades. These include the installation of 33-inch tires mounted on 20-inch wheels, specialized dampers, and a lift kit, all of which contribute to superior off-road handling. The package also incorporates protective skid plates and a robust full-length titanium underbody plate, assuring the SUV's capability to conquer rugged terrains with confidence and durability.

A distinctive addition is the introduction of an Off-Road Mode. This feature optimizes the powertrain settings of the vehicle for peak performance during off-road ventures. Notably, updates for the Off-Road Mode will be conveniently delivered through over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring continuous improvements.

For those seeking additional utility, Fisker offers an optional lightweight roof basket as part of the package. Meanwhile, the interior package equips the Force E Off-Road variant with practical rubber floor coverings, supplementary grab handles, and tie-downs to secure cargo effectively.

The Ocean Force E Off-Road package can be acquired either as an add-on for new all-wheel-drive Ocean SUVs or as a retrofit option for existing owners. It's important to note that this package is exclusively available for the Extreme and One trim levels, with plans for availability on the Ocean Ultra trim at a later date.

While the Force E Off-Road package is still in the developmental phase, deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2024. Fisker takes the opportunity to inform potential buyers that opting for the off-road package will result in adjusted specifications for the Ocean SUV. Notably, these adjustments may include reduced acceleration and range due to the added weight and modifications.

In a market gradually embracing off-road electric SUVs, Fisker's Ocean with the Force E Off-Road package emerges as a contender to established frontrunners like the Rivian R1S, which made its mark conquering the challenging Rubicon trail.

Adding an innovative touch, Fisker's SolarSky roof technology supplements the Ocean's power by harnessing solar energy during sunlit off-road expeditions. This remarkable feature adds value to the package, justifying its premium pricing.

As Fisker gears up to introduce the Ocean Force E Off-Road package, the electric SUV segment is poised to welcome a new contender, equipped to deliver electrifying off-road experiences.
