David Brown Automotive Unveils First-Ever All-Electric Restomod Classic Mini

David Brown Automotive, renowned for its classic car restomods, has introduced a groundbreaking addition to its lineup—the Mini eMastered. This classic Mini, celebrated for its compact size and iconic design, marks the company's inaugural venture into the realm of all-electric vehicles, combining classic charm with the advantages of electric power.

In a bid to preserve the Mini's beloved handling characteristics, David Brown Automotive has opted for an 18.8 kWh battery, steering an electric motor generating 97 hp and 129 lb-ft (175 Nm) of torque. This configuration enables the Mini eMastered to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a brisk 8.5 seconds, with a top speed of 92 mph (148 km/h).

Despite its modest battery size, the Mini eMastered boasts a respectable 110-mile (177 km) range on a single charge and supports 6.6 kW AC charging. A typical home wall box charging point can replenish the battery in approximately three hours. Impressively, the vehicle's weight remains consistent at 640 kg (1,410 lbs), mirroring its original combustion-engine counterpart.

In addition to the electric powertrain, David Brown Automotive has introduced several enhancements to the Mini eMastered. The exterior receives a fresh makeover, featuring a color-matched front grille and a distinctive orange roof. The company emphasizes customization, allowing customers to personalize their Mini eMastered to their unique preferences, ensuring each model stands out.

Inside, the transformation is comprehensive, with new brown leather seats, a wooden-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, and a Pioneer infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin is adorned with bespoke aluminum switches and buttons, accentuating the vehicle's timeless appeal.
